Position Overview
The Business Analyst - Retail Finance role at Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai supports strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across the retail business. This position partners closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights, drive efficiencies, and support investment, inventory, and fixed asset management across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting processes in coordination with Group and Retail Finance teams
• Ensure planning and forecasting activities comply with approved guidelines, timelines, templates, and system requirements including SAP, BPC, and Anaplan
• Manage fortnightly cash flow forecasting in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly management reports with clear performance insights
• Conduct variance analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions
• Develop, enhance, and automate management information and business intelligence reports
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to business units and retail stores
• Prepare business reviews and management presentations for senior leadership
• Act as a finance business partner on initiatives aimed at improving performance and operational efficiency

Fixed Assets and Inventory Management

• Plan and coordinate capital expenditure approvals and tracking
• Manage fixed asset capitalization, transfers, verification, and disposals
• Maintain capex trackers and fixed asset registers
• Support internal and external audit requirements with accurate schedules and documentation
• Oversee inventory postings, reconciliations, and system alignment
• Perform inventory analysis to support liquidation and stock optimization initiatives

Ideal Profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting within retail or consumer-driven environments
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis
• Experience working with ERP and planning systems such as SAP, BPC, and Anaplan
• High attention to detail with a proactive and analytical mindset

Skills Set
