Job Summary

BigTapp Analytics is seeking an experienced

Business Analyst - Data & AI

with deep banking domain expertise. The ideal candidate will translate complex banking business requirements into functional, technical, and data specifications while working closely with Data Engineering, AI/ML, and BI teams. The role spans across retail, corporate, credit, finance, and risk functions, supporting enterprise-wide data-driven transformation and AI initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

Extensive experience as a

Business Analyst

in

Data, Analytics, and AI projects

Strong

Banking Domain

knowledge (Retail, Corporate & ideally Investment Banking) Hands-on experience with

core banking systems (Avaloq / Finacle)

Strong

SQL skills

and data analysis capabilities Familiarity with

cloud ecosystems

- Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Documentation

Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements Prepare

BRDs, FSDs, user stories, acceptance criteria

, and

data mapping sheets

Conduct requirement workshops and manage stakeholder communications

Data, BI & AI Collaboration

Work with Data Engineering & BI teams on

data ingestion, data models, KPIs, and dashboards

Support AI/ML initiatives (churn, fraud, credit scorecards, segmentation, forecasting) Validate ML model outputs, ensuring accuracy, explainability, and business alignment

Testing & Governance

Support

UAT

by preparing test scenarios, coordinating execution, and validating results Ensure adherence to

regulatory, governance, and compliance

frameworks (data quality, lineage, metadata)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Business, Finance, IT, Computer Science

, or related field Preferred certifications:

Azure/AWS Fundamentals

AI/ML Foundations

Technical Skills

Strong

SQL

and data profiling skills Understanding of

Finacle tables, CIF structures, and banking transaction data

Knowledge of

data warehousing concepts

and governance frameworks Familiarity with data

lineage, metadata management, and data quality processes

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams High attention to detail with strong documentation abilities
