We are looking for a

Business Analyst

for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Onshore, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable depending on project duration) under MPH contract & sponsorship

Qualification and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree is a plus. Typically 3-6 years of relevant experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or strategic planning, preferably in Oil & Gas or Engineering / Energy sectors. Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting. Solid experience with data tools: Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI / Tableau or similar visualization tools. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Able to synthesize large amounts of information into clear, actionable insights. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with ability to present to senior leaders. Collaborative mindset; ability to work across teams and with technical/non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail, high integrity, sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze financial performance of business units/projects: revenue, margins, cost structures, productivity. Prepare forecasts, budgets, variance analyses; track actuals vs. plan/forecast, identify deviations. Build financial models (investment, project economics, cost optimization) to support business decisions. Provide decision support for operational improvements, efficiency programs, process optimizations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business (e.g. operational uptime, drilling/non-drilling costs, production volumes). Collect, clean, validate, and manage data from various internal systems and external sources. Conduct scenario analyses, risk assessments, sensitivity analyses. Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management, showing insights and recommendations. Liaise with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, supply chain, commercial) to align strategies. Support audits, compliance, and ensure financial reporting is accurate and timely. Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics in the oil & gas sector.
