Bus Driver

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate vehicles such as cars, vans, bus or traveller safely and efficiently. Transport passengers, goods, or equipment to designated locations on time. Follow traffic laws, road regulations, and company policies. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the appropriate department. Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times. Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery reports. Ensure proper documentation such as licenses, permits, and insurance is up to date. Follow assigned routes and schedules, making necessary adjustments as needed. Provide excellent customer service when transporting passengers or making deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or supervisors. Assist passengers with luggage or loading and unloading goods when required. Follow safety procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies. Use defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and ensure passenger safety. Keep an emergency kit and first aid supplies in the vehicle.

Requirements

A valid and appropriate driver's license for bus A clean driving record with no major traffic violations. Proven experience as a light vehicle driver Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic laws. Good driving skills and ability to handle different road conditions. Basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge. Strong communication and time-management skills. Responsible, reliable, and punctual. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Physically fit to handle driving for long hours if required.
