Job Description
This international shipping organisation requires an experienced Bunker Purchaser to join their team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to join this company in a pivotal role, where you will be very well rewarded. Working closely with the Chartering and Operations teams, you will be responsible for the day to day bunker purchasing, ensuring optimal stem planning and fixing, handling disputes, appointing Surveyors where required, and following up on invoice payments. Personal strengths will include attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and adapt to unforeseen changes to availability and pricing. Candidates should enjoy working in a challenging commercial environment and have the ability to meet deadlines and targets. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' bunker purchasing, preferably in the Middle East region, with a sound understanding of the industry, technologies and sustainability developments. Preference will be given to applicants already based in Dubai.
