Job Description

Dubai civil building contracting project engineer is required to oversees building projects from planning to completion, ensuring they meet project specifications, safety standards, and budget and timeline requirements.

Key duties include developing project plans, managing site activities, coordinating with architects, contractors, and suppliers, conducting site inspections, ensuring quality control, resolving on-site issues, and preparing progress reports.

Candidates need a civil engineering background, strong project management skills, and experience in reading architectural drawings and managing construction sites in the UAE. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Design:

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

Site Management:

Oversee and manage daily construction site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, implement QA/QC procedures, and ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.

Budget & Schedule Management:

Monitor and control project costs and expenditures, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Technical Support:

Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and specifications; provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve on-site issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare progress reports, maintain site logs, and manage project documentation.

Compliance:

Ensure construction work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations and relevant Dubai Municipality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

7-10 years of experience in the construction and building contracting industry, preferably in Dubai.

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and interpret civil and architectural drawings and perform quantity take-offs.

Project Management:

Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.

Dubai-Specific:

Experience and understanding of Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations and requirements, particularly for projects like G+4/ G+12/ G+unlimited floors buildings.
