BTU Smart Meter Engineer - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Azizi Developments is hiring a BTU Smart Meter Engineer to manage the installation, calibration, and maintenance of chilled water metering systems. The role also supports billing and collections, ensuring accurate consumption tracking and customer satisfaction. This position requires both technical expertise and coordination with billing teams to ensure seamless integration of metering data into financial processes.

What You'll Do

• Install, test, commission, and calibrate BTU smart meters and related sensors for chilled-water systems in line with quality standards (MID certification preferred)
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot hardware and software faults, and manage integration with BMS systems
• Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, calibration logs, commissioning certificates, and handover records
• Work with billing teams to generate monthly tenant invoices, ensuring timely delivery via email, SMS, or digital portals
• Monitor accounts receivable, send reminders, and support collections to reduce outstanding balances
• Address billing disputes and coordinate with customer support for resolution of metering-related queries
• Provide training to building staff and tenants on meter operations, usage reporting, and payment system navigation
• Collaborate with property owners, facility managers, and billing staff to align technical data with financial reporting and tenant satisfaction

Ideal Profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Hands-on experience with BTU meter installation, calibration, and maintenance, ideally in chilled water systems
• Strong technical knowledge of metering hardware, gateways, cabling, and BMS integration
• Familiarity with billing processes, collections, and customer communication
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
