Pernod Ricard Gulf distributes the Pernod Ricard portfolio of International spirits and wines in the region (U.A.E., Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Maldives & SAARC) in domestic duty paid markets

About the role

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Brand Manager will be responsible for designing the brand strategy and leading the development of assigned Pernod Ricard Prestige brand portfolio through planning, activation and engagement strategies.

The incumbent is accountable for building the brand equity and image of assigned brand(s), achieving market share and to liaise closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the correct execution of brand direction and successful implementation of all planned brand activities within agreed budget and timing.

The incumbent is also accountable for Le Cercle brand development: building the annual strategy, developing the engagement programs, activations/events towards HNWI (brand sponsorships, at home experiences, new brand launches, etc.) by developing the creative concepts, leading the RTM/RTC strategy for Unique & Collectables in collaboration and with the input of the Private Client Managers.

Key Responsibilities and Job-Related Characteristics

Brand strategy & planning Strategize, develop and implement brand strategies / plans to ensure execution is in line with agreed brand positioning, timeline and budget Support the 3-year strategic planning, global brand positioning and activation platforms in relation with global brand team Detail marketing action plan for implementation (quarterly base) with clear and actionable KPIs Localized brand activation platforms development based on local market environment, consumer needs and appropriate translation of global brand positioning

Brand initiatives Work with Marketing Manager to supervise and develop annual activation and engagement plan. Develop full year review, strategic direction and annual master plan for key brands to optimize resources. Develop, implement and evaluate marketing programs for the brands with a strong focus on digital, On & Off-Trade activation, sponsored events, PR and key influencer events in line with the brand plan / global brand direction

Strategic Business Acumen Master brand profitability through the ownership and deep understanding and interpretation of the P&L for the assigned brands, driving financial results to fulfil the annual objectives. Work closely with Trade Marketing & Commercial teams to develop on & off trade marketing activities covering products, packages, merchandising and promotions. Support Trade Marketing teams on providing guidance and creative concepts to achieve presence, visibility, and activation (PVA) strategy and planning. Monitor and evaluate the brand's sell-in and sell-out performance monthly with the corresponding risk and opportunity evaluation to define a short-term action plan. Foster a marketing effectiveness mindset by evaluating the ROI of each initiative implemented. Actively participate in all transversal meetings (Commercial, S&OP, Marketing) meetings to ensure business and brand continuity.

Market Intelligence & Insights Leverage different resources (agencies, brand companies, sales teams) to collect market intelligence and competitive information to continuously provide insightful recommendations Participate in market visits to gather insights and transform into action plans Provide monthly analysis and commentary on key brand activities and performance to include review of depletion data

A&P Management Monitor and control A&P spend to be in line with the agreed brand plan in cooperation with the finance team and assess ROI on A&P expenditures Supervise and manage spending effectively through compliance of Standard Operating Procedures Manage suppliers/vendors, PO, payments; sourcing and utilisation of POS material

Communication / Relationships Manage efficient communication to get the best support internally and externally Be a team player and work closely and proactively with the commercial team, as well as other departments in Pernod Ricard Develop a collaborative relationship with the commercial team, distributors and outlets Manage creative / brand / advertising / research agencies in delivering quality and professional services Build efficient network with opinion leaders (trade, media, influencers) Build effective working relationship with the global brand teams
