We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket
Branch Manager
to lead the daily operations of one of the leading supermarket branches in Fiji. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing staff, optimizing sales performance, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and ensuring smooth and efficient store operations. This leadership role plays a critical part in achieving business targets and upholding the brand's reputation in the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including inventory management, merchandising, cash control, and staff supervision.
Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and frontline staff to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Implement marketing and promotional activities to drive foot traffic and increase sales.
Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews, and training programs.
Resolve customer complaints and address service-related issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly store environment.
Foster a positive and productive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in a supermarket or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment is highly preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and retail management systems (POS, inventory software, etc.).
