General Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and assign tasks to the deck crew, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Oversee daily deck maintenance, including cleaning, painting, chipping, and general upkeep of rig structures.
Coordinate and direct mooring, anchoring, and rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Ensure all deck equipment, lifeboats, winches, and lifting gear are properly maintained and certified.
Conduct regular safety inspections, participate in emergency drills, and enforce the use of PPE.
Maintain inventory and stock levels of deck-related tools, supplies, and materials.
Report progress and issues to the Chief Officer or Master and act as the main point of contact between officers and deck crew.
Assist in cargo handling, personnel transfers, and emergency response as required.
Job Requirements:
Have 2 years of experience as a Sailor.
Valid STCW Deck Rating Navigational Watch - Able Seaman as per STCW II/5.
Valid basic safety training course (survival course), including HUET as applicable
STCW Fast Rescue Craft certificate
STCW Proficiency in Security Duties certificate. Helicopter Landing Officer Certificate/License under local Aviation laws accepted by CNOOC Helicopter service company
Scaffolding Inspector Certificate
