BOQ/QS Expert with advanced BIM (Building Information Modeling) expertise
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and supporting project teams by leveraging BIM models for cost management, quantity take-off, and project control. This role bridges the technical and commercial aspects of projects, ensuring cost accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
BIM-Integrated Quantity Take-off & BOQ Production
Extract and validate quantities directly from BIM models (Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
Prepare, review, and finalize BOQs in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Ensure alignment of BIM model data with tender documentation and specifications.
Cost Estimation & Analysis
Develop detailed cost estimates during design, tender, and execution phases.
Conduct cost benchmarking, value engineering, and life cycle cost analysis.
Track cost variances and advise on corrective measures.
Model Validation & Coordination
Work closely with BIM modelers and designers to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Validate models for cost-relevant parameters, classifications, and element breakdowns.
Support design teams in integrating cost-related information into the BIM environment.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate accurate cost reports, dashboards, and progress updates using BIM data.
Ensure compliance with measurement standards such as CESMM, POMI, or NRM.
Maintain digital records for traceability and audit purposes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and consultants to provide cost insights.
Support procurement by preparing tender documents, bid evaluations, and contract support.
Provide training and guidance on BIM-based quantity surveying processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, MRICS, or equivalent) preferred.
Technical Skills
:
Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, CostX, iTWO, or similar).
Strong command of cost management tools (Excel, Candy, etc.).
Knowledge of standard methods of measurement (POMI, CESMM, NRM).
Experience
:
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in QS/Cost Estimation, with at least 3 years in BIM-based quantity take-off.
Proven track record in BOQ preparation for large-scale construction projects.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
