About this opportunity

We are now looking for a BO DSC/5G Core Engineer to be responsible for technology leadership, expertise & support extending through the full cycle of Create, Sustain & Evolve for its respective domain, who will working with support cases assigned, use reporting tools according to global processes and procedures.

What you will do

• Handling the daily health check on DSC/UDM/5G Core nodes, trouble ticket, fix the issue raised from customer, CC such as provisioning issue, traffic issue, performance degradation and open CSR as per troubleshooting requirement.
• Providing feedback to customer support and providing support to project team.
• Participating in knowledge transfer, documentation, information sharing.
• Communicating and participating in technical discussions with customers, analyze customer technology, define business requirements, and participate in risk analysis.

You will bring

• Having a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication/Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years’ experience in O&M activities the DSC/UDC technology related networks, and having Cloud Architecture Certifications are a plus!
• Solid experience in troubleshooting of sophisticated DSC/UDC Core network failures, resolving root cause of failures, recommending course of action, with Scripting and code development (Ansible, Python, Java, Shell scripting).
• Deep understanding of IMS related protocols (SIP, DIAMETER), 3GPP protocols, and Red Hat OpenStack experience is a plus!
• An outstanding experience with various Cloud models, understanding of the Cloud principle, proficient with virtualization, technical solutions architecture background for server, storage and/or network virtualization.
• Excellent understanding of cloud security and compliance models, with good background with virtual networking technologies, virtual switches, and software defined networks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (teamwork, knowledge sharing, commitments), with proficiency in the English Language.
• Solid knowledge of DSC/UDM/5G product functionality, installation, software update, customer adaptations and excellent knowledge in DSC Troubleshooting, Tracing, configuration, and problem identification.
• Provide 2nd level O&M (Hardware & Software) for VUDC core network elements including: HSS-FE, HLR-FE, CUDB, PG, UPG, EIR-FE.
• Implementation of any cutover of new services, major network changes, and checking statistics after implementation.
• Providing technical support for other departments in STC for any technical issues related to Ericsson nodes as Engineering, Performance, Quality, Billing, and Customer Care, Provisioning & Mediation.
• Making operational standards, procedures, supervised daily operations and maintenance of different UDC node/hardware types.
• Propose and implement proactively improvements in maintenance procedures, verify solutions and remedies on target environment.
• Providing second line and 24/7 support for all DSCs/UDC Core nodes escalated from MNOC surveillance & Field Engineers and provide support for inter-working problems with other vendors, and subscriber complains handling.
