SALARY $22 - $24 per hour Signing Bonus paid after 90 days WORK SCHEDULE M-F 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. Overtime availability required based on business needs SUMMARY Performs a variety of functions related to electrical controls, equipment, and wiring in an industrial plant or worksite. Their work may involve testing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of the electrical components. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Read blueprints or technical diagrams Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment Troubleshooting equipment Other duties may be assigned Teamwork is essential for TSE's continued success, so Teamwork is an essential function of every employee's job. Completion of a four- or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment is usually required to be eligible for trade certification. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, customers, and distributor reps. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, including cold calling on potential customers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
