Biomedical Engineers are responsible for applying engineering principles and techniques to develop medical equipment and devices. They play a crucial role in improving healthcare outcomes by integrating technology and medical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Conducts preventive maintenance checks and inspections by observation and application of tests instrument.
Conduct research and experiments to test the effectiveness and safety of biomedical equipment.
Analyze and interpret data from medical devices and systems.
Modify existing equipment to improve performance or address specific requirements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality control procedures.
Train healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Analyzes equipment's for failures, faults or malfunction based on experience and skill, application of test instrument and reference to technical literature or drawings.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to healthcare facilities.
Requirements
Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and biology.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare practices.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and technical information.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality control procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
3 to 5 years' experience in a hospital set up.
