Diyar Private Academy - Dibba Boys is seeking an experienced AP Biology Teacher to join our growing secondary team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, inquiry-driven instruction aligned with the New York State Standards American curriculum, NGSS, and College Board AP standards, supporting students in achieving academic excellence and preparing for post-secondary success.

Key Responsibilities

Teach AP Biology in alignment with College Board course and exam requirements and additional high school science classes. Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific reasoning, laboratory skills, and data analysis Design and implement effective assessments aligned to AP standards and school expectations Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback Support students with exam preparation strategies, laboratory investigations, and extended learning opportunities Collaborate with the Science Department and wider secondary team on curriculum planning and vertical alignment Contribute positively to the school community through professional collaboration, student activities, and school events

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related science field (Master's degree preferred) Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) Experience teaching AP Biology (required); proven AP exam results strongly preferred Strong understanding of inquiry-based science instruction and laboratory safety protocols Experience teaching in an American or international curriculum setting is an advantage Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
