Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented

BIM Modeler cum Draftsman

with experience in the

BMU (Building Maintenance Unit) industry

to support design, coordination, and production of technical drawings and BIM models. The candidate must be proficient in

AutoCAD

, and having working knowledge of

Revit

and

Tekla Structures

will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop

2D drawings

and

3D BIM models

for BMU systems including tracking systems, davit arms, monorails, fall arrest systems, and complete facade access solutions. Produce detailed

GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings

, and

as-built documentation

. Coordinate and integrate BMU design requirements with

architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines

. Ensure compliance with

international standards, project specifications, and local regulations

. Assist design team in clash detection, model coordination, and project documentation. Review and update BIM models and drawings based on site conditions or design changes. Communicate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure accurate technical output. Maintain organized drawing logs and file structures according to company standards. Support project submission packages and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering, Architecture

or related discipline. Minimum

2-4 years

experience as a Draftsman/BIM Modeler in

BMU, facade access, facade engineering, lifting equipment

, or related field.

Proficient in AutoCAD

(2D & 3D drafting). Knowledge of

Revit

and

Tekla Structures

is a

plus

(preferably for modeling steel structures). Ability to interpret architectural & structural drawings, and convert them into BMU design details. Strong understanding of BMU components, facade support details, and steel structures. Good understanding of

BIM workflows, clash detection, LOD standards, and project coordination

.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Problem-solving and coordination skills. Familiarity with international BMU standards is an added advantage.

Additional Preferred Experience (Not Mandatory):

Experience with

Navisworks

,

BIM 360

, or similar platforms. Exposure to

fabrication and erection drawings

. Site experience related to BMU installation or facade access.
