Job Title: BIM/Revit Modeler(Architecture)
Reports to: BIM Coordinator Summary The BIM/Revit Modeler will provide drafting and modeling support. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically Revit. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working in a similarrole. In this, the BIM Modeler will be exposed to all aspects of a BIM project (BIM Modeling, Model Administration, Documentation, Scheduling, Library Creation, etc.) and is expected to quickly gain the necessary working knowledge of project guidelines, processes, and techniques to deliver BIM projects profitably, meeting the time, resources and budget objectives of the project. General Responsibilities
- Provide BIM modeling and design support
- Create Revit families.
- Obtain work assignments of specific design elements from project managers.
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy
- Use checklists set-up for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines.
- Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis.
- Complete printing and plotting requests.
- Timely and accurate preparation of models, shop drawings, etc.
- Provide daily and weekly timesheets.
- Demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge
- Observe professional ethics.
- Positive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- A degree in Architecture.
- 3 to 5 years of Revit modeling experience (candidates who do not have 3 years of Revit modeling experience will not be considered)
- Sound understanding of construction documentation.
- Hospitality, Mixed-use, and Residential experience are preferred.
- Knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Sketch-up, Enscape, Navisworks, BIM 360 Collaborate, and related Building Information Modeling software.
