Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications and REVIT
Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects.
Working around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget.
Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists.
Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction.
Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to the client.
Assess the impact on the local environment.
Keep within financial budgets and deadlines.
Specify the nature and quality of materials required.
Draw up tender documents for contracts.
Project manage and help to coordinate the work of contractors.
Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction.
Ensure that the environmental impact of the project is managed.
Responsible for Concept, Schematic, Detailed, Tender and Construction drawings.
Prepare drawings and forms for submissions to authorities and developers.
Prepare drawings according to the standards and terms of the company and clients.
Responsible to add or make necessary changes to designs while checking and verifying that drawings conform to specifications.
Has the authority to modify the drawings as per the Design Manager instructions.
Profile
Minimum Five (5) years work experience in Architectural Design
Ability to use AutoCad, Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop
Good knowledge of architectural practice including site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering and construction costs; good time management skills.
