Job Summary:
AECOM is seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Engineer to join our Highways team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the digital delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring BIM standards are met across all phases of design and construction. This role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams and active participation in project execution aligned with ISO19650 standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage BIM models for highways and infrastructure projects using Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts across disciplines.
• Review contractor-submitted BIM models via Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Prepare and maintain progress drawings and weekly reports.
• Support the creation and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Project Execution Plans (PEP).
• Coordinate with wet and dry utilities teams to ensure integrated design.
• Support the digital delivery efforts and ensure alignment with Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
• Provide BIM support during all project stages-from concept to IFC.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to lessons learned sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM for highways and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, InfraWorks, Revit, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of UAE and international road design standards (DMRB, AASHTO, MOT).
• Experience with ACC and ACONEX platforms for document and model management.
• Familiarity with ISO19650 and LOD/LOI frameworks.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• BIM certification or training in Global BIM Management is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in RTA projects and knowledge of local authority requirements.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and modelers.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
