Position Overview
The BIM CAD Technician role at Parsons Corporation in Dubai supports storm water drainage and wet utilities projects through advanced CAD drafting and BIM modeling. This position works closely with BIM leads and design teams to deliver accurate, coordinated, and standards-compliant drawings across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure compliance with project policies, BIM standards, and delivery schedules
• Develop engineering drawings using CAD and BIM tools including layouts, arrangements, flow sheets, isometrics, assemblies, and component details
• Manage BIM-related activities from project initiation through completion in coordination with design and engineering teams
• Review drawings for accuracy, readability, presentation, and compliance with QA and QC procedures
• Create and manage parametric and non-parametric BIM families and content libraries
• Apply strong understanding of LOD requirements across different project stages
• Perform clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks and prepare clash coordination reports
• Generate schedules and quantity take-offs directly from BIM models
• Support design coordination and resolve drawing-related issues in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Perform additional drafting and BIM coordination responsibilities as required

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum ten years of CAD drafting experience within MEA or UAE on wet utilities projects
• Proven experience on storm water drainage, irrigation, sewerage, and related infrastructure works
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of BIM processes, modeling workflows, and LOD requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work effectively within structured BIM and QA environments
