BIM CAD Technician - Parsons Corporation - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
BIM CAD Technician role in Dubai supporting Parsons Corporation storm water drainage and wet utilities projects. This role focuses on BIM and CAD drafting, model coordination, and production of compliant design deliverables across multidisciplinary infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure compliance with project BIM and CAD standards, policies, and processes
• Develop engineering drawings including layouts, profiles, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from sketches and design information
• Manage BIM-related activities from project startup through completion
• Review drawings for readability, presentation quality, and adherence to QA and QC standards
• Create BIM content including parametric and non-parametric families
• Apply and manage LOD requirements across project stages
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and prepare clash reports
• Produce schedules and quantity take-offs directly from BIM models
• Coordinate with engineers and designers to ensure timely delivery of drawings and models
• Perform additional duties associated with the role as required

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum five years of MEA or UAE CAD drafting experience in wet utilities projects including drainage, stormwater, irrigation, and sewerage
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and lifecycle delivery
• Experience working within multidisciplinary infrastructure teams

Skills Set

• Proficiency in MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
• Good knowledge of BIM standards and LOD requirements
• Experience with Navisworks for coordination and clash detection is an advantage
• Familiarity with common data environments such as ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
