Core Duties

• Deliver Bharatanatyam dance lessons aligned with curriculum requirements and student needs
• Plan and prepare creative lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing feedback for continuous improvement
• Prepare students for school events, performances, and competitions
• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and assessments
• Ensure discipline, safe practice, and cultural appreciation in classes and rehearsals
• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare resources and support co-curricular activities
• Communicate with parents regularly regarding student progress and development
• Participate in school events, productions, and cultural programs
• Engage in professional development and contribute to the broader school community

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in teaching or a related field
• Proven experience teaching Bharatanatyam dance (minimum 3-4 years)
• Strong knowledge of classical dance techniques and performance preparation
• Creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about student learning and cultural arts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging students and parents
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and lesson delivery
