Beverage Maker
Job Title: Beverage Maker / Non-Espresso Specialist
Reports To: Store Manager / Shift Supervisor
Job Overview:
The Beverage Maker specializes in crafting our non-espresso drink menu, focusing on precision, creativity, and presentation. This role is essential for producing our popular iced teas, lemonades, smoothies, refreshers, hot chocolates, and specialty non-coffee items. You ensure that every customer, regardless of their preference, receives a delicious, high-quality, and visually appealing beverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Specialty Beverage Production:

• Expertly prepare all non-espresso menu items according to precise recipes, including measuring, blending, shaking, and layering.
• Maintain and brew large-format iced teas, cold brews, and infusion concentrates.
• Create visually stunning and consistent smoothies, refreshers, and specialty lemonades.
• Prepare high-quality hot beverages like hot chocolate, steamed apple cider, and tea lattes.
• Ensure all beverages are properly garnished and presented before hand-off.

Station Management & Inventory:

• Set up, maintain, and break down the beverage station (blenders, shakers, pitchers, syrups, fresh fruits, inclusions) ensuring it is fully stocked and impeccably clean.
• Prepare and batch drink components (e.g., pre-cutting fruit, mixing bases) during off-peak hours to ensure speed during rushes.
• Monitor inventory of non-espresso ingredients and report needs to management.
• Strictly follow all food safety protocols for handling perishable items like dairy, fruit, and fresh juices.

Customer Service & Collaboration:

• Work in close tandem with cashiers and baristas to ensure a smooth and efficient drink production line.
• Answer customer questions about ingredients, customization options, and allergens for non-espresso drinks.
• Assist baristas with tasks during peak espresso drink periods, such as milk steaming or basic drink assembly.
• Contribute to developing and testing new seasonal beverage recipes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in a fast-paced food or beverage service role is beneficial.
• A keen eye for detail, consistency, and visual presentation.
• Ability to memorize and follow complex recipes with speed and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a high-volume station.
• Knowledge of basic food safety is a plus.
• Friendly, collaborative, and able to thrive in a team-centric environment.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities during a shift.
