An opportunity has arisen for a Bar Manager position to join our Food & Beverage Service Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, for next season 2024, starting in April.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

- Ensures that all colleagues\' activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah International Quality Management System.
- Provides hands-on support and assistance to colleagues to ensure highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
- Help in revamping bars (front and back) including styling, beverages offer, tastings and presentations training for employees.
- Ensure the bar is consistently prepared and always stocked through ordering and adequate planning.
- Working closely with the Food and Beverage leadership team in designing the beverage menus, controlling costs through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control and cost control measures.
- Maintain beverage inventory, distributor relationships, develop staff training, create wine dinner events involving students in planning and execution.
- Being highly visible in the operation, providing recognition, promoting good public relations and taking care of special requests with dedication to providing an attentive and distinctive experience for our guests.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualification

- Essential- Basic Food and Hygiene Training
- Desirable- Previous Management Courses and Training

Experience

- Essential- Previous supervisory experience in a similar type of establishment

Skills

- Excellent level of English
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skill
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Micros
- Works well under pressure
- Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business
- Excellent customer care skills
- Knowledge of any other Languages (German)
