Bar Manager

Position Summary
The Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the bar, overseeing all aspects of its operations. This includes leading and developing the bar team, driving beverage innovation and profitability, maintaining the highest standards of service, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader with a deep knowledge of mixology, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:

• Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule a high-performing bar team, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment that encourages growth and excellence.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead by example in all aspects of service, professionalism, and company culture.

Bar Operations & Financial Performance:

• Manage daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Control inventory for all beverages, bar supplies, and equipment, conducting regular stocktakes.
• Develop and manage the bar's budget, with a strong focus on achieving financial targets (cost of goods sold, pour costs, and profitability).
• Analyze sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Implement effective ordering and stock rotation systems to minimize waste and spoilage.

Beverage Innovation & Menu Development:

• Conceptualize, design, and execute a compelling and innovative beverage menu that aligns with the venue's brand and concept.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in mixology, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Source high-quality and unique products to maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and cost out all cocktail recipes to ensure consistency and profitability.

Guest Experience & Service Standards:

• Ensure every guest receives outstanding, personalized service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the bar area.
• Uphold and enforce all safety, security, and licensing regulations as per Dubai Municipality and legal requirements.

Marketing & Promotion:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and promote bar-related events, promotions, and specials.
• Build relationships with guests and suppliers to enhance the bar's reputation and visibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager role, preferably within the Dubai or GCC hospitality market.
• Proven experience in a high-volume, fast-paced bar or restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology techniques.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, inventory control, and P&L management.
• Impeccable leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of the English language; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, Russian) are a plus.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the UAE.
