Position Summary:

The Banquet Runner/Porter is responsible for maintaining, and breaking down banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders and guest specifications. This role ensures that all furniture, equipment, and supplies are arranged properly. The Banquet Porter supports the banquet team by assisting with event logistics and providing exceptional service to ensure a seamless event experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport banquet equipment, food service items, and supplies safely between storage areas and event spaces. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet storage areas and workspaces. Assist with the breakdown and resetting of event rooms after functions conclude. Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to management. Ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to their proper locations after use. Collaborate with banquet servers and other staff to ensure timely and accurate setup and service. Uphold all company policies, safety standards, and grooming guidelines. Provide friendly, professional assistance to guests and team members at all times.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in hospitality, event setup, or banquet operations is a plus. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow setup diagrams and instructions. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexible schedule -- must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, physically active role that requires frequent lifting, bending, and moving of furniture and equipment. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors depending on event requirements.
