, you'll be responsible for creating and executing a lineup of
individual, cafe-style desserts
-- think mousse cups, mini tarts, puddings, brownies, and other eye-catching treats that taste as good as they look. You'll balance creativity with consistency, ensuring each dessert aligns with Unwind's fun, high-quality, and comfort-driven vibe.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, bake, and decorate a range of individual desserts for daily service and display.
Innovate and test new dessert recipes that reflect Unwind's playful, indulgent character.
Ensure portion control, presentation quality, and taste consistency across all desserts.
Maintain daily mise en place and monitor ingredient freshness and stock rotation.
Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate prep schedules and dessert plating for dine-in service.
Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in line with Dubai Municipality regulations.
Assist in creating visually appealing displays for the dessert counter and seasonal promotions.
Maintain accurate records of recipes, production quantities, and wastage.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef, preferably in a cafe or casual dining environment.
Strong hands-on skills in individual dessert preparation (tarts, mousse, puddings, brownies, etc.).
Creativity and a passion for experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with HACCP and food safety protocols.
Ability to work efficiently during peak cafe hours and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Pastry or Culinary Arts.
Experience developing cafe or display desserts for retail service.
Interest in developing signature Unwind desserts for our evolving menu.
