What you will be doing:

Plan and execute a diverse menu of bakery items, including bread, pastries, and cakes, while developing and refining recipes to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements. Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation through regular tastings and evaluations. Oversee daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and plating, while training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain quality standards. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with other departments and culinary team members to plan bakery offerings for various outlets, create seasonal menus, and execute special promotions. Stay informed about current food trends, techniques, and ingredients, incorporating new ideas into menu offerings.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Proven experience as a Sr. Baker or similar role in a high-end bakery, patisserie, or hotel environment, with a degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or a related field preferred. Extensive knowledge of bread and pastry production techniques, including sourdough, laminated dough, cake baking, decorating, and finishing skills. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and collaborating with staff at all levels. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
