Senior Baker

Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled

Senior Baker

with a minimum of 5 years of professional baking experience. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality baked goods, leading baking staff, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and bake a wide variety of high-quality breads, pastries, desserts, and specialty items. Develop, test, and refine recipes for seasonal or signature items. Supervise and mentor junior bakers and kitchen staff to ensure consistent product quality. Manage daily baking operations, including production planning, inventory, and order fulfillment. Ensure all baked goods meet company standards for taste, appearance, and freshness. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery and comply with health and safety regulations. Monitor ingredient stocks and coordinate with suppliers for inventory management. Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, and slicers. Maintain detailed production records and assist in cost control and waste reduction.

Requirements:



Can join immediately Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a commercial bakery, patisserie, or similar environment. Advanced knowledge of baking techniques and equipment. Proven ability to lead a team and manage a bakery operation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Culinary certification or degree in Baking and Pastry Arts preferred.

Preferred Skills:



Experience with artisan breads, laminated doughs, or specialty desserts. Knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, or allergen-free baking techniques. Familiarity with inventory software and bakery scheduling tools. Creative and innovative approach to recipe development.
