We'll provide you with the tools, training, network, and support to help you become a change agent, and drive innovation and creativity across the bank. Programme preview New joiner onboarding - to help orientate you into the bank, your new team and your role. We want to make sure you feel supported in your first few weeks with us. You will receive an induction during your first week with the bank and a soft skill training midway through the programme. Learn and grow - with access to tools and learning experiences to help you realise your full potential. While the experience will vary depending on the team or role you join, you'll be exposed to all sorts of ways to start your career. Be part of the family - not only will you meet other local Interns on our programmes, you'll also get to meet people from across the bank, build your professional network and understand the Standard Chartered difference. About the Programme Our 6-Month Internship Programme allows you to work directly on real world problems to hone your skills, create lasting relationships and learn about your strengths. The programme is intended to create a pipeline to our Future Talent in Bahrain for an opportunity into our Local Management Program other full-time roles.

What you'll experience A 6-Month structured Internship program that takes place from March to August 2023 1 week country induction, formal welcome to the Bank, technical and soft skills training 2 rotations (3 months each) within the assigned Business Functions (Consumer, Private and Business Banking (CPBB)/ Commercial, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CCIB)) 2 rotations (3 months each) within the Support Functions On-the-job learning On-going lunch & learns, hot topic sessions, social and networking events Pairing with a 'buddy' -, to set you up for success and provide insights into life as an SC employee Completion of a group project to be presented to senior leadership at the end of the program

Your Training Within the Job Rotation, the Business will provide and execute the learning framework to the Interns to set the minimum expectations and outputs required to successfully complete the rotation

Formal Learning - 10% Training with the Subject Matter Expert and/or People Leader regarding the process flow, DOIs and diSCover platform as recommended by the Business and People Capability Team Familiarization in the DOIs and systems

Coaching - 20% Job Shadowing with the Subject Matter Expert and/or People Leader in assigned tasks People Leader to prepare list of tasks, checklists and necessary system logins and other relevant accesses People Leader to set the expected outputs or items to be competed per attachment

On the Job Training - 70% Perform assigned roles during the attachment. Should complete the required volume/items set by the business during the attachment The focal areas of the training will be focused on the Core behaviour and Core Skills: Core Behaviour: Focusing on behavioural competencies such as Time Management, Personal Management, Ethics and Business Etiquettes, Team work and Personal Leadership Core Skills: Focusing on an area that builds a core skill such as: Data Literacy, Sustainability, Cyber Security, Understanding Financial Services, Business Writing, Health and Safety and Presentation Skills.
