The Backend Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining different systems for data integration with clients, setting up monitoring and alerting for data anomalies and issues, and manipulating data, like transformation, enrichment, aggregation and denormalization. We are mainly on the AWS cloud!

Team
He/she will work within the Data Engineering team and interact with internal teams (Account Managers, Sales, Other Tech Teams) and the client for integrations, meetings and support.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Design, develop and fully own new applications/systems for data integration with clients, internal processing of data and other requirements.
• Write APIs and Web services to serve or consume data and support 3rd party modules to integrate with our API.
• Do basic DDL and DML operations on the databases and write mid level queries.
• Write/schedule basic jobs for data processing.
• Optimize current systems for fault tolerance, speed and scalability.
• Monitor and report systems health and security with respect to data integrity.
• Support internal teams to use our systems, troubleshoot & identify issues, and resolve them.
• Communicate with clients for technical related stuff like data requirements and integrations.
• Evaluate, test and update software applications according to changing requirements.
• Follow best Coding Practices and participate in the Code Review process.
• Use efficiently the development environment, compiling tools, version control and bug tracking systems for all software projects.

Technical Competencies Must Have

• 3-5 years of minimum experience in backend development.
• 1-2 years of experience in AWS development – API gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3
• At least 2 years of Python development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in JavaScript.
• Experience with various relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and good in writing SQL and DB code
• Experience with backend API and web services development (Rest, graphQL)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, writing unit tests
• Experience working on an agile development project.
• Experience with Slack, Jira and the Atlassian tool suite.
