About the Role
We're hiring a Backend Developer (Java) to engineer our high-performance trading infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience in designing low-latency distributed systems and understands how to build scalable microservices for fintech environments.
You'll work closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to ensure reliability and speed across all backend services.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot, Netty, Disruptor). Implement matching engines, balance ledgers, settlement systems, and transaction audit trails. Optimize backend architecture for throughput and fault tolerance. Integrate Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL/NoSQL databases for high-speed processing. Implement market data APIs and event-driven streaming services. Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and scaling. Conduct secure code reviews and optimize database query performance. Maintain system observability and performance metrics.
Additional Dubai Hiring Requirements
Minimum 5 years of backend experience in fintech, payments, or exchange platforms. Familiarity with microservice orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker). Experience building REST/gRPC and WebSocket APIs for trading data. Knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud environments is preferred. Strong grasp of security compliance, data integrity, and audit trails for financial systems.
