We are seeking a skilled

Backend Developer

for a

3-month contract role

to support the ongoing development of our wallet app. The ideal candidate must be able to start immediately, possess a valid work visa (self-sponsored), and be open to full-time opportunities based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and microservices that support real-time gold trading, portfolio tracking, and inventory management. Integrate securely with payment gateways, KYC/AML systems, and external APIs. Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to define and deliver features. Identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimization strategies. Ensure high standards of security and compliance with financial data regulations. Deploy and manage services using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior backend engineers. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Participate in architecture and design discussions, making key decisions on system design and technology stack. Optimize backend performance, ensuring responsiveness and scalability. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for backend components. Ensure the reliability and stability of backend services through rigorous testing and debugging Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously improve the development process, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality. Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new features and functionalities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in back-end development, with a strong emphasis on Node.js. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks.

Skills:

Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

Background in fintech, trading platforms, or precious metals. Experience with gold or commodity management systems. Knowledge of financial regulations and secure data handling (e.g., PCI, SOC2).
