Job summary/Role description
The AWP Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Construction AWP (Advanced Work Packaging) methodology and the preparation of the related deliverables for the assigned project/s, supporting the Site team and the other Company's Functions involved in project execution and coordinating the AWP project team, if any
Duties and responsibilities
Is responsible for the implementation of the AWP Procedure in all different phases of the assigned Project, reporting to the Project Manager for Home Office activities;
Is responsible for preparing, implementing and improving the AWP Project Plan, in coordination with the relevant project functions; he/she participates in the interactive planning sessions through all phases of the project and intervenes in any problems related to the AWP Project Plan;
Facilitates the optimal development of the Path of Construction and follows up the relevant Action list;
Monitors the AWP implementation to ensure that stakeholders are meeting the expectations of the AWP Project Plan;
Provides mentorship to project stakeholders on Advanced Work Packaging practices and procedures;
When relocated at Site, the Project AWP Manager shall: Support the implementation of AWP Methodology with the involvement of Site Manager and Construction Managers;
Ensure a complete and updated information flow (EWP - Engineering Work Package and PWP - Procurement Work Package) with the involvement of construction subcontractors for the successful AWP application at Site;
Guarantee the actual data flow (IWP - Installation Work Package - produced by subcontractor) is reported to Project Control.
As a member of the department, the AWP Manager shall: Support the AWP Group Leader in the preparation and update of the relevant procedures/work instructions, supporting the collection of lessons learnt from Site;
Keep himself up to date on the technical improvement of the discipline.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
A university degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of 18 years' experience in construction of large Oil & Gas/petrochemical projects / EPC projects.
