To support the delivery of the daily service, ensuring effective control and regulation of bus services at all times, and that effective decisions are made during times of service disruption.
Manage any disruption to service making appropriate decisions which resolve issues safety and quickly
Monitor the efficiency of services operated and ensure that appropriate action is taken to rectify any problems via AVL system / or other means to ensure efficient reliable service delivery
Work with key staff and Customer Service Managers to ensure all services operate to a high standard and in accordance with set reliability targets and identify and implement solutions where targets are not being met.
Operate and manage the Radio System.
Ensure Company, client requirements and legislative regulations are adhered to in respect of the bus service operation
Maintain and develop effective working relationships with all relevant internal and external organisations
Construct effective reports to management regards service reliability and driver conduct
Support drivers in times of disruption or during emergency situations
Provide the link between the Traffic Office and Engineering/stations
Central hub for communications
Requirements
Experience in Bus Driving is useful
Excellent knowledge of the locale
Computer literate and excellent radio communication skills
Strong communication and managing conflict skills
Supervisory experience is essential
Proven track record of delivering targets and meeting deadlines
Strong empathy skills and a calm manner
Excellent problem-solving skills
