Job Description

The SMS Manager oversees PAC's Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with ICAO Annex 19, and industry best practices. This role integrates safety into all operational and maintenance activities, conducts root cause investigations using methodologies such as FAiR and MEDA, and fosters a Just Culture environment. The SMS Manager functions as an independent body to review, evaluate, and improve safety across the organization, supporting PAC's commitment to world-class VVIP aviation operations.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Safety or Quality Management or related field.

• Strong leadership, analytical, detailed oriented, and problem-solving skills within aviation related scope.
• Human Factors Training Certification (within last 2 years) is required.
• Approved SMS certification highly desirable.
• Certification in Investigation methods is highly desirable.

Experience

• 10-12 years of experience in aviation or aerospace organization with 5-7 years in safety management leadership roles. Rotary Wing Aviation experience is a plus.
• Advanced demonstrated proficiency in in aviation safety, SMS and risk management methodology.
• Expert knowledge in SMS and various root cause analysis methodologies.
• Experience with FAiR/MEDA is desirable.
• Advanced experience developing and stewarding a "just culture" in Aviation.
• Expertise interpreting and utilizing aerospace regulatory environment (e.g. FAA, EASA, ICAO etc.)
• Military related Safety role is a plus.
• Experience in Quality is also desirable.
• Pilot experience is a plus.
