Your Role:
As an Avian Veterinarian you'll bring expert care to our patients by specializing in the medical care of domestic and exotic birds and working closely with a talented, collaborative team. You'll perform diagnostics and surgeries, and contribute towards an exceptional standard of care that builds trusting relationships with pet owners.
Responsibilities:
Perform avian-specific surgeries such as: crop repair, egg binding treatment, fracture stabilization, air sac cannulation.
Advise and educate pet owners on diagnosis, medical treatments, behavior, and preventive care for their birds with compassion, clarity and confidence.
Monitor the progress of patients under your care and adjust treatments as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of patient history, treatment, and progress.
What We're Looking For:
Excellent knowledge in avian anatomy, physiology, diagnostics and surgical procedures.
5+ years experience as a specialised Avian veterinarian.
A Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited Veterinary School.
Excellent English speaking skills and client-relations abilities.
Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.
