Develop control system programming for AV equipment such as audio processors, video switchers, touch panels, and other control devices.
Utilize programming languages and software tools (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, BSS, QSC) to create custom control interfaces for AV systems. Commissioning:Conduct on-site commissioning of AV systems, ensuring all components function according to design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve programming or integration issues during commissioning phases.
Verify the functionality of audio, video, and control systems, making adjustments as needed. Integration:Integrate AV systems with other building automation systems and networks.
Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of AV systems into the overall technology infrastructure. Documentation:Create comprehensive documentation for programming code, system configurations, and integration details.
Provide training to end-users and technical staff on the operation and maintenance of AV systems. Testing and Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough testing of programmed control systems to identify and rectify any issues before deployment.
Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the reliability and stability of AV installations. Client Interaction:Work closely with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide technical support.
Communicate effectively with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery. Qualifications: Education:Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Technical Skills:Proficiency in programming languages and software tools commonly used in AV control systems (e.g., Crestron SIMPL, Crestron Toolbox, AMX NetLinx Studio, Extron Global Configurator). Experience:Prior experience in AV system programming, commissioning, and integration.
Familiarity with audio processing, video distribution, and control system protocols. Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Problem-Solving:Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues. Certifications:Industry certifications such as Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP), AMX Certified Expert (ACE), or equivalent are often preferred.
