Explain repair results, charges, and necessary maintenance in clear terms.
Handle customer complaints and ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair:
Identify mechanical problems by questioning the customer, performing a visual inspection, or taking a road test.
Consult with technicians to confirm necessary repairs and discuss alternatives.
Write clear, concise descriptions of customer concerns on repair orders for technicians.
Provide complete and accurate written estimates for labor and parts.
Advising customers on the value of routine maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
Administrative Tasks:
Schedule service appointments.
Open service orders for each vehicle.
Prepare repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates.
Coordinate with the service technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
Potentially prepare service reports.
Sales and Marketing:
Advise customers on additional necessary services, maintenance packages, or parts.
Help customers decide on repairs versus part exchanging a car.
Potentially assist in marketing dealership services
