Job Title: BMW Technician Summary: BMW Technician is largely responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, engine systems. able to work independently and efficiently to diagnose and repair BMW vehicles. He will be responsible for performing all scheduled maintenance and repairs on BMW vehicles, as well as diagnosing and repairing any issues that may arise. Ensures that the services of repairs performed on every vehicle satisfy the repair & quality standard by performing the following duties: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: \xc2\xa7 Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical defects in BMW cars. \xc2\xa7 Perform all work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and factory standards. \xc2\xa7 Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the necessary repairs \xc2\xa7 Communicate with service advisors regarding the status of the vehicle repairs \xc2\xa7 Road test vehicles when required to ensure proper completion of all repairs \xc2\xa7 Maintain a clean and safe work area \xc2\xa7 Follow all company policies and procedures \xc2\xa7 Perform other related duties as assigned by management \xc2\xa7 BMW training preferred but not required \xc2\xa7 Repair brake and steering systems. \xc2\xa7 Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems. \xc2\xa7 Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed. \xc2\xa7 Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling. \xc2\xa7 Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations. \xc2\xa7 Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles. \xc2\xa7 Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment. \xc2\xa7 Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles. \xc2\xa7 Keep a professional appearance. \xc2\xa7 Maintain a clean, safe working environment. \xc2\xa7 Ability to use diagnostic scanners and software programming \xc2\xa7 Ensures that customer vehicles are fixed right from the first time. \xc2\xa7 Avoids unnecessary replacement of spare parts.
