Job Description
The Automobile Mechanic (Engine & Gearbox Specialist) is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining vehicle engines and transmission systems. The role requires deep technical knowledge of engine and gearbox components, precision in repair work, and adherence to company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair faults related to
engine performance, gearbox, and transmission systems
. Performengine overhauling, timing adjustments, and gearbox rebuilding
(manual & automatic). Conduct complete inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Replace or repair worn engine parts such as pistons, valves, gaskets, bearings, and clutches. Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to detect and resolve issues accurately. Test repaired vehicles to ensure optimal performance and smooth operation. Maintain records of all repair and maintenance work. Ensure tools, equipment, and workshop areas are clean and properly maintained. Follow all safety procedures and company repair standards. Report parts requirements and repair progress to the workshop supervisor.Skills and Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent. Minimum
3-6 years
of experience as a mechanic specializing inengine and gearbox repairs
. Strong technical knowledge of petrol and diesel engines, transmission systems, and related components. Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems independently. Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and repair tools. Good communication skills and teamwork. Commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable repair work.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
