Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of automation specialists across multiple engineering centers
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to automation and digital engineering teams
  • Act as the primary technical interface between automation teams and engineering disciplines
  • Identify automation opportunities in collaboration with engineering and project teams
  • Define, prioritize, and manage automation requirements aligned with project and business objectives
  • Prepare and review software requirements specifications and technical documentation
  • Manage budgeting, cost forecasting, and resource planning within the automation function
  • Assess risks associated with automation initiatives and implement mitigation strategies
  • Oversee development and deployment of custom tools using Autodesk Platform Services, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bentley ProjectWise
  • Manage creation and maintenance of custom add-ins for Revit, Civil 3D, and ESRI ArcGIS Pro
  • Review code quality, readability, compliance with standards, and UI-UX considerations
  • Lead automation tool development lifecycle including testing, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Conduct regular reviews and upgrades of existing automation tools to improve performance
  • Produce detailed reports including KPI tracking and performance metrics
  • Present technical updates and progress reports to senior management
  • Stay current with advancements in Autodesk, ESRI, Bentley, and automation technologies
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket for team collaboration
  • Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage timelines and deliverables
  • Use project management tools such as Jira to track progress and manage sprints
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital engineering with strong BIM and GIS focus
  • At least 3 years of experience in automation and process improvement within infrastructure or construction environments
  • Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
  • Strong expertise in BIM platforms such as Revit and Navisworks and GIS tools including ESRI ArcGIS
  • Solid understanding of automation technologies and relevant programming languages
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • Professional certifications in BIM, GIS, or automation technologies are an advantage
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects in the Middle East is preferred
