Home Automation Engineer & Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Home Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining smart home and building automation systems. This role requires expertise in IoT devices, automation protocols, system integration, and customer-centric problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Implementation

? Design and configure smart home automation solutions including lighting, HVAC, security, access control, AV systems, curtains/blinds, and energy management.

? Program and integrate devices using protocols such as KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter, BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based systems.

? Conduct site surveys, prepare BOQs, wiring diagrams, and automation layouts.

Integration & Development

? Integrate third-party devices (e.g., Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Control4, Crestron, Savant).

? Develop and customize automation scenarios to enhance user experience.

? Configure and troubleshoot IoT platforms, cloud systems, and mobile applications

Testing & Commissioning

? Carry out installation, calibration, and commissioning of automation systems.

? Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance of smart devices and controllers. ? Ensure system reliability, security, and interoperability.

Customer Interaction & Support

? Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions. ? Provide technical training and handover to end-users.

? Offer after-sales support, maintenance, and upgrades when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 2-5 years in home/building automation or IoT projects.

Technical Skills:

? Knowledge of automation protocols (KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, Matter, etc.).

? Hands-on experience with smart lighting, HVAC controls, security systems, CCTV, access control, and AV integration.

? Programming/configuration skills (e.g., Python, Node-RED, MQTT brokers, or vendor-specific tools).

? Familiarity with networking, IP configuration, and cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google IoT Core).

selling/installing automation in UAE : (Preferred): 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:

* Control4 Pro, Savant, or Crestron (Preferred) (Preferred)
