Job Description

We are seeking an

Automation Maintenance Engineer

to ensure the continuous reliability and performance of our clients' automated systems. You will be the primary technical lead responsible for preventing downtime, performing advanced troubleshooting, and implementing system upgrades. As a service provider, you will manage a diverse portfolio of systems, requiring high adaptability and a "reliability-first" mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

Execute scheduled maintenance protocols to prevent hardware and software failures; utilize IoT and data analytics to predict failures before they occur.

Emergency Troubleshooting:

Provide rapid-response support for system breakdowns, diagnosing issues across PLC code, HMI interfaces, and industrial networks (Profinet, EtherNet/IP).

System Optimization:

Analyze existing client cycles to identify bottlenecks and implement software tweaks that improve

Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

.

Legacy Support:

Maintain and "future-proof" aging systems by performing firmware updates, hardware migrations, and back-up management.

Client Advisory:

Consult with clients on spare parts inventory management and long-term lifecycle planning for their automation assets.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed service logs and root-cause analysis (RCA) reports using our

CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

.

Required Technical Skills

Diagnostic Mastery:

Expert-level ability to "read" and debug PLC code (e.g.,

Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, or Schneider EcoStruxure

).

Hardware Knowledge:

Hands-on experience with VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and safety relays from multiple vendors.

Networking:

Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and basic cybersecurity for OT (Operational Technology).

Tools:

Experience with diagnostic software, multimeters, and protocol analyzers.

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.

Mandatory Requirements

Visa Status:

Must possess a

valid and transferable UAE residency visa

. (Candidates on visit visas or non-transferable permits will not be considered).

Driving License:

A

valid UAE manual or automatic driving license

is mandatory, as this role requires frequent travel to client sites.

Language:

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus for coordinating with site technicians.
