We are seeking a versatile and technically skilled Electromechanical Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and programming of automated entry solutions. You will be responsible for a wide range of systems, including revolving doors, hydraulic gate barriers, and complex security integrations. The ideal candidate blends traditional electrical expertise with modern software programming to ensure seamless and secure facility access.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Integration:
Lead the end-to-end installation of automated revolving doors and vehicle gate barriers, ensuring precise mechanical alignment and structural integrity.
Electrical & Low Voltage Work:
Perform wiring of control panels, sensors, and safety loops. Manage low voltage (DC) communication lines for access control readers (RFID, Biometric) and high voltage (AC) power supply for motors.
Hydraulic System Management:
Service and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and fluid lines used in heavy-duty gate barriers and bollards. Troubleshoot pressure issues and leakages.
System Programming:
Configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and proprietary software to set door speeds, safety timings, and integration with building management systems (BMS).
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., sensor calibration and emergency stop testing).
Diagnostics & Repair:
Utilize multimeters, diagnostic software, and mechanical tools to identify and resolve electrical faults or mechanical failures.
Technical Skills Required
Electrical Expertise:
Deep understanding of circuitry, relays, and power distribution.
Access Control Logic:
Experience programming control boards (e.g., CAME, FAAC, Record, or Boon Edam systems).
Hydraulic Mechanics:
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and perform fluid system maintenance.
Low Voltage Systems:
Knowledge of CAT6 cabling, signal interference, and electronic locking mechanisms.
Qualifications
Experience:
3+ years in automated doors, gate automation, or industrial maintenance.
Education:
Degree or Certification in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Certifications:
Valid electrical license or specialized manufacturer training (e.g., ADSA/AAADM certification) is a significant plus.
Problem Solving:
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals to troubleshoot unique site conditions.
