OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE: Due to the growth and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for an electrician looking for a new challenge to develop their skills and knowledge. As an Installation Electrician, you will work part of the installation team undertaking electrical installs across various sites. Working on both construction sites and open venues in theatres, schools, colleges and universities, the successful candidate will need to have experience within the commercial sector, with knowledge of both 3ph, 1ph and control cable installations. A good understanding of the installation of containment system, glanding and terminate SWA, SY, YY and control cables within control panels and MCCs will be required, along with the experience and ability to work from termination and schematic drawings. The role holder will report to the Electrical Projects Manager; helping to deliver electrical projects both in the UK and overseas on a project by project basis. J&C Joel have sub-contractors and subcontract suppliers who currently assist in the delivery of our electrical requirements, which range from pulling cables, containment, flip flop trays, terminations, MCC design and build with wall panel or touch screen interfaces c/w e-stops etc. There are also requirements to do electrical setups and additions to products in-house before going to site. J&C Joel projects range in size and complexity. Electrically the packages range from \xc2\xa320,000 through to \xc2\xa3450,000 in value. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

• Able to work on their own and part of a team.
• Flexible to working additional hours, working away from home and possibly overseas.
• Coordained ongoing works with other trades and JCJ Electrical Project Manager.
• Maintain a strong customer relationship with the client and site management.
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ability to prioritise, problem solve and fault find.
• The ability to be self-motivated.
• Assisting mechanical engineers on site with their works where required.
• The role will be mainly on site, along with some workshop works in-house.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have extensive electrical knowledge and training.
• Min 3-5 years proven record of working as an electrician within a commercial environment.
• Experience within stage engineering in theatres would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
• Confident demeanour.
• Hardworking with a keen eye to detail.
• Experience of PLC\xe2\x80\x99S would be an advantage.
• Familiar with control panels.
• Client focused and out of the box thinker.
• Knowledge of and ability of electrical design.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Bias for Action, with a professional and positive approach - a can do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

• Qualified Electrician ( Apprentice served/ NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds part 1 &2 plus AM2.
• 18thEdition qualified.
• ECS Gold card
• SSSTS preferable \xe2\x80\x93 training provided
• City and Guilds 2391-52 \xe2\x80\x93 Desired
• Ipaf and Plasma preferable- training provided
• Driving licence
