Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing and updating technical drawings and documentation related to telecom network design and implementation. The role involves developing detailed layouts, network diagrams, wiring diagrams, and fiber routing drawings in coordination with design and site teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed telecom and electrical layout drawings including panels, telecom systems, rack elevations, fiber routing, cabling, patching, power, and grounding. Develop interconnection diagrams, termination details, and labeling schedules for equipment and panels. Support engineers during site surveys by documenting equipment locations, cable routes, and field measurements. Create and revise as-built drawings and ensure consistency between design and on-site implementation. Coordinate with telecom, electrical, and protection engineers to reflect multidisciplinary design requirements. Prepare and maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and documentation trackers. Generate drawings for power systems, DC supply connections, fiber distribution panels, junction boxes, and field cabinets. Assist in preparing BoQs, layout schematics, and installation drawings for contractor reference. Review inputs from site engineers and ensure proper annotation, scaling, and layer management within drawings. Contribute to technical reporting by providing diagrams, cable schedules, and drawing extracts when required.

Qualifications:

Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D essential), MS Office, and familiarity with Visio or similar tools. Basic understanding of telecom systems, fiber connectivity, and electrical layouts. Strong attention to detail and adherence to drawing standards. UAE driving license will be an added advantage.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in telecom, electrical, or utility infrastructure projects. Experience in telecom network design and implementation for utility, power, oil & gas, or large infrastructure environments is an added advantage. Proven experience in preparing technical drawings, BoQs, and documentation for large-scale and multidisciplinary projects.
