The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and coordination layouts for various steel and metal components including structural steel, handrails, brackets, support frames, mezzanines, and architectural metal elements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed
AutoCAD drawings
for fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal structures and components.
Interpret and convert
architectural and structural drawings
into fabrication-level details.
Coordinate closely with
engineers, project managers, and site teams
to ensure drawings align with design intent and site conditions.
Prepare
cutting lists, material take-offs, and fabrication schedules
for shop production.
Ensure all drawings comply with
company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes
(BS, ASTM, AWS, etc.).
Revise drawings as required by
site modifications or client comments
.
Maintain drawing registers, version control, and as-built records.
Liaise with the
fabrication workshop
to resolve design or dimensional issues.
Assist in developing
connection details
, welding specifications, and fixing arrangements.
Support QA/QC teams with drawing verification during inspections and submittals.
Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
or a related field.
Minimum
3-5 years of drafting experience
in metal/steel fabrication or construction environments.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD (2D/3D)
; knowledge of
Tekla, Revit, or SolidWorks
is an advantage.
Strong understanding of
metal fabrication techniques, welding symbols, and connection details.
Ability to read and interpret
architectural, civil, and MEP drawings
for coordination.
Knowledge of
structural steel standards (AISC / BS EN / AWS)

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Steel and aluminum handrails, balustrades, brackets, catwalks, mezzanines, and support frames.
Secondary steelworks and architectural metal elements.
Coordination with fit-out and MEP teams for integrated installations.
