Draftsman

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Draftsman to join our team in Ras al-Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ELV system (CCTV, Structured Cabling, Access Control, Intercom Systems).

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layout plans for various ELV systems, including structured cabling, CCTV, access control (ACS), audio-visual (AV) etc..

Utilize

AutoCAD

to develop and modify designs and drawings.

Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Conduct site surveys to gather necessary information for design and to ensure the accuracy of plans.

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for ELV systems.

Develop competitive technical and commercial proposals tailored to client needs.

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, equipment lists, and specifications.

Implement changes and revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, and site modifications.

Design CCTV system layouts based on local Authority's (GRA, SIRA etc.) specifications and site conditions.

Liaise with project managers, sales teams, and other engineering departments to ensure accurate and feasible bids.
Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation for easy access and reference.

Requirements:

A diploma or bachelor's degree in drafting, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field is typically required.

Expertise in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is a must & BOQ preparation

Strong understanding of ELV system designs, symbols, and routing is essential. Experience with specific systems, such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling is also necessary.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in ELV system design, estimation and project execution
