Job Description

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by architects, engineers, or designers. The role involves producing accurate AutoCAD/SketchUp drawings and ensuring they align with project requirements, design standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed architectural and interior fit-out drawings including layouts, sections, elevations, and shop drawings. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to interpret concepts and translate them into technical drawings. Revise and update drawings based on mark-ups, design changes, or site conditions. Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files (CAD and hard copies). Prepare as-built drawings after project completion. Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and company procedures. Assist in the coordination between design, site, and subcontractors to avoid discrepancies. Participate in site visits when required to take measurements and ensure drawings reflect actual conditions.
Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience minimum 5 years as a Draftsman in interior fit-out or construction. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop (Revit is a plus). Good understanding of technical drawing standards and building regulations. Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing drawings. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in joinery, furniture, or millwork drawings is an advantage. Familiarity with 3D visualization/rendering tools is a plus. Knowledge of UAE or GCC construction standards is preferred.
